In memory
The Vita is named after Vita Lugo (1982-2006). Vita was born in Washington State and was a gifted artist from a very young age. As a child she loved crafting jewelry and polymer animals and dabbled in stained glass, but especially excelled in drawing and painting. By the age of 14 she was selling her work professionally.
Her awards and achievements included: United States Achievement: Academy National Award Winner; Pierce County Executive’s Award, first place; Young American Creative Patriotic Art, first place; and the Certificate of Award, WA State Superintendent of Public Instruction’s 27th Annual High School Art Show, first place.
We have no doubt if Vita had been able to live longer her artwork would have been in galleries across the country. We are honored to carry her name and share her story.
