Ronald Shap | untitled figure drawing, c. 1980

Original oil pastel figure drawing by celebrated, twentieth-century California impressionist landscape painter, Ronald Shap. Head and torso of a nude African American man sitting in profile on rich, brown paper. 25.5x19.5 inches on paper. Signed.

Item comes directly from artist's studio. No prior owners, but has been sitting in storage. We note discoloration along edges, approximately 1/2 inch in depth, and a nick in the paper on the top right edge, approximately 1/3 inch in depth, plus the two bottom corners have small creases. All should be invisible if properly matted and framed. We also note unevenness in the paper throughout.
